Caravan park in Abarán, in the heart of the Ricote Valley
Not just a stopover. A rural campsite with full facilities
Spacious 80 m² pitches surrounded by nature, 45 minutes from Murcia city. Every amenity you need, no minimum stay, and flexible check-in for those arriving on the road.
Anyone who travels by motorhome or campervan knows the difference between a service area and a real campsite. A service area is functional: you park on tarmac, empty the tanks, sleep badly because of the road noise, and move on next morning. A rural campsite is something else entirely.
At Áureo Natura you park on natural ground, among trees, with natural shade and views across the valley. You get the grey and black water disposal facilities of a professional motorhome stop, but 30 metres from your pitch there is a pool and a restaurant. It is the missing link between the road and your destination.
And if you travel with a tent, you access the same surroundings at traditional campsite prices.
What your 80 m² pitch includes
Our pitches are designed so you never go without — whether you are stopping for one night or staying for a week. Every pitch includes:
Electric hook-up
Direct connection at every pitch.
Drinking water
Water supply point right beside your pitch.
Free WiFi
Coverage across the whole pitch — ideal for remote working or planning the next leg of your trip.
Hot showers
Modern, spotlessly maintained bathroom facilities.
Washing machine and dryer
Available to all guests. Perfect for longer stays or after several days on the road.
Grey and black water disposal
Disposal point for cassette toilets and grey water tanks.
Spacious pitch (80 m²)
Room for your vehicle, an awning and an outdoor table — no squeezing in.
Landscaped surroundings
Greenery, natural shade and views across the Ricote Valley.
We also offer free WiFi across the whole site, along with a supplies shop for essentials and a picnic area.
What other campsites charge extra for is included here
Your pitch is not the only thing included in your stay. When you stay with us, you have free access to all of this:
-
Outdoor swimming pool
Open May to October, with sun loungers and a poolside bar terrace.
-
Fully equipped gym
Keep up your routine even while you are on the road.
-
Games room and communal areas
Perfect for days when you fancy something different.
-
Children's play area
If you are travelling with children, they have their own space.

Not just on your pitch.

Every type of traveller has a place here
Travelling by motorhome? You will find what so many campsites lack: easy access from the A-30, room to manoeuvre and professional technical facilities. Áureo Natura works as a motorhome campsite in Murcia whether you are stopping for a single night or using it as a touring base.
Travelling by campervan? You know that "campervan in Murcia" often means parking on a bare patch of ground. Not here. A fully serviced pitch, a pool open until October and a proper dinner without moving your vehicle.
Travelling with a tent? You access the same facilities as a lodge guest. A shaded pitch, hot showers and the whole complex at your disposal. The best price-to-experience ratio in the area.
Close to Murcia city, a strategic stop on your route
Just 45 minutes from Murcia city via the A-30, we are one of the closest rural campsites to Murcia without losing any of the countryside character. This matters for two reasons.
A short trip to the city centre
If Murcia is your destination, you are a short drive from the centre to visit the Cathedral, the Verónicas Market or to have dinner in the city — but you sleep well away from the urban noise.
The missing link in your itinerary
If Murcia is a stop and not your final destination, Áureo Natura fits into almost any peninsular route. We are the link between Albacete and Cartagena, right at the A-30 / AP-7 junction. Many caravanners stop here between the north and the coast, or on the way to Almería and Andalusia.
A rural campsite in Murcia designed as a touring base, not an emergency parking spot.
Pet-friendly campsite in Murcia: your dog travels with you too
Travelling in a caravan with a dog can feel like an administrative obstacle course: campsites that don't allow pets, breed restrictions, opaque surcharges. Not here.
Pets are welcome on all pitches, with no restrictions by breed or size, for a small supplement that covers the additional cleaning. We have spacious green areas for walks and enough space between pitches that barking at the neighbours is not a crisis.

The Ricote Valley is one of the most beautiful inland routes in the Murcia Region, and Abarán is its largest and best-connected municipality.
I
Abarán: the largest waterwheel in Europe
Abarán is famous throughout Spain for its historic wooden norias (waterwheels). The Batán noria, a few minutes from the complex, is the largest-diameter waterwheel in Europe — over 11 metres tall and still working. An unmissable and truly unique sight.
II
Villages of the Ricote Valley
Ricote, Ojós, Ulea and Villanueva del Segura are four villages of Moorish origin that can be explored in a single day from Abarán. Cobbled streets, viewpoints over the Segura river, traditional orchards and a tranquillity you will not find on any coastline.
III
Cieza and the Los Almadenes Gorge
20 minutes from Áureo Natura, the Los Almadenes Gorge is one of the most spectacular natural landscapes in Murcia, with canyoning and hiking routes alongside the Segura river.
IV
Murcia city

What a wonderful place! Highly recommended. The quality is excellent in every way. Everything is clean and well-maintained. There's a good restaurant and a private wellness center with a steam room and a beautiful garden.
This was a brilliant little site. Spotlessly clean everywhere, quiet and unobtrusive. Pool, bar, restaurant, gym, games and TV room. Lovely warm reception, and the ladies speak perfect English. Definitely recommend and will be back.
Áureo Natura is the definition of serenity and liberty in one place. The staff who work the night and day shifts are our hope for humanity. We arrived just before midnight with our campervan and they welcomed us warmly. A lovely stay.
Lovely relaxing weekend — we bathed, ate, slept well and thoroughly enjoyed it.
