To be clear from the start: our lodges do not have a hot tub inside. What you get is an hour in our private spa, in the main building a short walk from the lodge, with a hot tub (jacuzzi), a Turkish bath and a relaxation area for the two of you only. Nobody else comes in during that hour, and it is included in the romantic getaway.

A spa break is a different thing when nobody else is in the water. You book the hour and, for that time, the Áureo spa belongs to the two of you: hot tub, Turkish bath and relaxation area, at your own pace and with quiet music. The spa is in the main building, a short walk from your lodge.

Massages are given one person at a time, in a small room in the spa and by appointment. If you want to stretch the afternoon out, you can add another treatment from the spa menu.

It is a 45 m² wooden lodge just for the two of you, with warm floors, big windows onto the countryside and a private porch for breakfast in your pyjamas. King-size bed, full bathroom, living room and a fitted kitchen, in case you would rather stay in on the last night. The lodges stand apart from each other, so you will not hear the neighbours. It is the closest thing to having your own house in the Spanish countryside for the weekend. They are the same wooden lodges in the Ricote Valley we let all year round, made ready for two.

If you come at the weekend, it is dinner; from Monday to Thursday it is lunch, because the restaurant does not open in the evening on weekdays. It is served in the Áureo restaurant, always subject to availability. The menu changes with the seasons because we cook with produce from the local orchards: proper Murcian pisto (a slow-cooked vegetable stew), rice dishes, meat from the area and home-made desserts.
If you have allergies or intolerances, or you are vegan, tell us when you book and the chef will adapt the menu.

Flying in from the UK or Europe? Abarán, in the Ricote Valley
Áureo Natura is in Abarán, inland Murcia, away from the coast and the traffic. Region of Murcia International Airport (Corvera) is 64 km away, almost all of it on the motorway; Alicante–Elche, 104 km away, has far more European routes, with direct flights to most UK airports. Both have car hire desks in the arrivals hall, and the parking here is free. If you are already spending the winter on the Costa Cálida or the Costa Blanca, it makes an easy two-night break inland.

Is the spa private?
Yes. The spa is booked by the hour and during your hour only the two of you go in. The getaway includes one hour of private spa and a massage in a small room that is private too.
Do the lodges have a private hot tub?
No, the lodge does not have a hot tub inside. The hot tub is in the Áureo spa, and during your booked hour the whole spa is for the two of you. That gives you the privacy of a private hot tub, plus a Turkish bath and a relaxation area.
Can we book just the private spa, without the getaway?
Yes. The private spa is booked by the hour, with or without accommodation, at €10 per person per hour and by appointment. Here is how to book an hour in our private spa.
How far is Áureo Natura from Alicante and Murcia airports?
Region of Murcia International Airport (Corvera) is 64 km away, under an hour by car, and Alicante–Elche airport is 104 km away, about an hour and a quarter. Both have car hire in the arrivals hall, and parking at Áureo is free. Madrid airport is 3 hours 30 minutes away.

Yes. You go in together during your private hour. The massage is not a couples' massage: it is given by appointment, in a small private room in the spa.
Is the getaway all-inclusive?
Yes. It includes two nights in a lodge, one hour of private spa for the two of you, a massage, a romantic dinner or lunch (dinner at the weekend; lunch from Monday to Thursday), breakfast and a welcome touch, for €380 for two, subject to availability. Only the wine pairing and the premium decoration are optional.
Can we do the getaway midweek?
Yes. The getaway is available at weekends and from Monday to Thursday, always subject to availability. At the weekend it includes dinner; from Monday to Thursday it includes lunch, because the restaurant does not open in the evening on weekdays.
Can we add the getaway to a longer stay in Spain?
Yes. The getaway is two nights in a lodge on the dates you choose, so it fits around a longer trip. If you are spending the winter with us on a winter long stay in the caravan park, you can also book the private spa by the hour.
Can we book the getaway for one night?
The Romantic Getaway is two nights, which is our usual minimum stay in a lodge. If you have specific dates in mind, message us and we will tell you what we can offer.
Can I use the Murcia Tourist Voucher on the romantic getaway?
No. The romantic getaway is a fixed-price package and cannot be combined with other offers or with the Tourist Voucher. The voucher can be used on a two-night stay in a lodge without a package.
Can we add extra spa treatments?
Yes. As well as the private spa hour and the massage that are included, you can add more spa hours (€10 per person per hour) or a treatment from the menu of our private spa in Murcia, from 45 to 90 minutes and from €35. Book them with reception.
Do you accept pets on the romantic getaway?
Yes, with a supplement of €3 per night. Let us know when you book so that everything is ready.
When is the best time for a romantic getaway in the Ricote Valley?
March, May and October for the weather; February and March for the fruit blossom in Cieza. Spanish bank holiday weekends book up fast, so reserve well ahead.
